Our Pack

Health and Safety, BB-Gun Shooting

Pack 440 provides scouting activities to young boys and girls in the Lake Travis area. Through those activities we strive to teach children the principles of scouting through respect for the individual and to develop and use their potential to the best of their ability. Our boys and girls like things that go fast! So we offer opportunities like building and racing model cars in the Pinewood Derby, improving our bicycle skills while riding in rallies and building rocket ships!

Of course it wouldn't be Cub Scouts without some quality time outdoors. We go hiking and camping in the spring and fall. We participate in activities like fishing, geocaching, and learning to whittle safely. We toast marshmallows and make s'mores over a campfire, sing songs and perform skits for everyone to enjoy. We study the natural world and the wildlife that lives in it while respecting the environment and leaving no trace when we go home. All of this we do in the spirit of Scouting.

Our promise

We have fun while learning and building character in every girl and boy who passes through Pack 440. Our adult leaders instill good values in the scouts while ensuring each child is meeting challenges, doing things they like to do and developing strong friendships throughout the year. We encourage our scouts to recognize their duty to God and to be failthful lto their religious observances. Our cub scouts learn duty to God, country, others and self.
